Accessibility

Last Updated: February, 2026

149 AGENCY™ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our digital infrastructure.

1. CONFORMANCE STATUS

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

149 Agency™ is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA.

  • Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard due to the high-fidelity visual nature of our portfolio, but we have implemented robust alternatives.

2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Accessibility of the 149 Agency™ website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML

  • WAI-ARIA

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

3. ACCESSIBILITY MEASURES

We have implemented the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our site:

  • Semantic HTML: We use clear heading structures (H1, H2, H3) to ensure screen readers can navigate the content hierarchy logically.

  • Alt Text Strategy: All meaningful images, including case study visuals, include descriptive alternative text. Decorative architectural elements are hidden from screen readers to reduce noise.

  • Keyboard Navigation: The site is navigable via keyboard interfaces for users who cannot use a mouse.

  • Contrast Ratios: We maintain high contrast distinctions between text (Pearl/Raisin Black) and backgrounds to meet or exceed WCAG AA standards.

  • Motion Sensitivity: Our site uses high-fidelity animations (parallax and scroll effects). We respect the prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query for users who have system-level motion restrictions enabled.

4. LEGISLATIVE COMPLIANCE

Our infrastructure is designed to align with:

  • UK: The Equality Act 2010.

  • USA: Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
